I work for <a href="../../">W3C</a> from home in Whistler,
Canada, operating out of the <a href="http://web.mit.edu/">MIT</a>/<a
href="http://www.csail.mit.edu/">CSAIL</a> site,
on contract through my consulting company <a
href="http://impressive.net/">impressive.net, Inc.</a>
</p>
<p>
Along with the rest of the <a
href="http://www.w3.org/People/domain?domain=Systems">Systems Team</a>,
I help manage W3C's technical operations: web servers, email servers,
mailing lists, publishing tools, user accounts and support.
</p>
<p>
Recently I have been focused on improving our email infrastructure
and mailing list system. In the past I was responsible for the <a
href="http://validator.w3.org/">HTML validation service</a>.
</p>
<p>
My <a
href="http://impressive.net/people/gerald/">personal web site</a> has
much more information about what I do in my spare time, including <a
href="http://impressive.net/people/gerald/travel/">travel</a> (sometimes
written about in my <a
href="http://impressive.net/people/gerald/blog/">travel blog</a>), <a
href="http://impressive.net/people/gerald/photos/">photography</a>, and
writing <a
href="http://impressive.net/people/gerald/software/">software</a>.
