<h3>Introduction</h3>
|
|
|
|
<p class="details">The Patent Policy Activity's goal is to enable W3C to
|
|
implement and successfully operate the W3C Patent Policy, put into place in
|
|
February 2004. While the work of developing and implementing the Patent
|
|
Policy is complete, we believe that it is important that the W3C community
|
|
have an organized way to monitor application of the Policy as well as remain
|
|
informed about relevant development in the legal and standards
|
|
environment.</p>
|
|
|
|
<p class="details">The primary work in the Activity is carried out by the <a
|
|
href="psig/">Patent and Standards Interest Group</a>.</p>
|
|
|

<h3>The Patent and Standards Interest Group</h3>
|
|
|
|
<p class="details">The <a href="psig/Overview.html">Patent and Standards
|
|
Interest Group (PSIG)</a> is a forum for W3C Members and Invited Experts to
|
|
discuss policy issues regarding the implementation of the W3C Patent Policy
|
|
as well as new Patent-related questions that arise which require action or
|
|
attention from the W3C Membership.</p>
