"anchor">Abstract</a></h2>
<p>Key derivation is a well-established mechanism for
generating new cryptographic keys material from some existing,
original ("master") key material and potentially other
information. This document augments XML Signature and XML
Encryption by defining XML types and elements necessary to
enable use of derived keys in XML security applications.</p>
